Ksubaka brings moments of joy to shoppers.  We provide delightful bite-size gamified advertising on our network of in-store playSpots, with which shoppers can play for a minute or so, and in the process learn all about the advertising brand’s benefits, and even receive coupons on their mobile phone.  Ksubaka leads the market for in-store gamified advertising.

 

Job brief

 

As part of Ksubaka’s Singapore team, you are responsible for setting and upholding the artistic standards for all game productions. A confident leader who can coach other game artists towards excellence, you will align with Brand Marketing to provide the artistic vision to internal and external studio partners in Asia and European regions for quality deliveries. Working with a small collaboration-oriented team in Singapore, You are excited about the challenge of working with artists across various studio locations and cultures to develop the artistic arm for Ksubaka.

 

 

Responsibilities.  You will:

●      Be the Pillar to build up and manage the creative and professional development of the artists in Singapore

●      Be responsible for overseeing artistic pipeline best practices

●      Be responsible for the artistic vision of our game products

●      Define the art direction (and create style guides where necessary) to ensure alignment with target demographic, brand identity and product goals in the available time frame

●      Assess the artistic capabilities of external studio partners

●      Promote a conducive environment for open critique and feedback of game assets for realistic improvements within managed schedules

●      Appreciate and translate game design features to artistic requirements

●      Create and/or manage final production art assets to quality

●      Ensure consistency in art style across all areas of each game product

●      Ensure art assets are delivered in accordance to the project’s technical requirements

●      Be fiercely committed to delivery schedules

●      Give hands-on support at whichever level is required, given the art team’s skill level

●      Support gameplay prototypes with low-fidelity assets where necessary

Requirements.  You have:

 

 

●      Experience in coaching and leading small to mid-sized game artist teams

●      Proven track record in creating quality game art and animations, including game assets, environments, characters, visual effects and UI, in senior art roles

●      Shipped at least 3 notable AppAnnie-tracked games (preferably Unity mobile games)

●      Experience producing game art for Unity projects

●      Proven ability to develop designs across a wide range of styles

●      Artistic vision with an eye for detail

●      Strong in traditional arts, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of form, color, composition and perspective

●      Ability to understand a game project’s technical requirements for game art

●      Good understanding in 3D development – modelling, sculpting, UV, texturing, rigging and animation

●      Good understanding of modern rendering, shading and lighting techniques

●      Great, advanced skills in creative software: Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, Z-Brush, etc

●      Demonstrate pride and responsibility in your deliveries while maintaining modesty and respect when receiving feedback and critique 

●      Strong communications and organizational skills

●      Strong sense of commitment to delivery schedules

●      Appreciation of UI design; Experience in UI/UX is a plus

●      Skilful, low-poly delivery is a plus

●      Relevant qualifications in Art or equivalent

●      Fluent in English

●      Mandarin proficiency is a plus
