Junior Web Developer job at SAGA OS Malaysia

Working for a customer focused exciting, young company that is at the forefront of their industry, the ideal candidate will have suitable experience working within a pro-active environment and be able to take on ownership within the front end web-development side of the business. Working within a small dynamic office environment, this position has plenty of potential for the successful candidate to become an important part of a growing team and an integral part web development team. Any potential candidate must be fluent in English and have suitable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Maintain and expand on the current API solution with CMS and front-end of website

·       Develop new functionality in CMS and front-end

·       Maintain and expand key website functionality between different platforms

 

Experience:

 

·       Ideally a Degree in relevant online coding discipline

·       2+ years suitable experience

·       Ideally – online games and payment transaction site development (not PCI compliant)

·       Working with API’s, SOAP PHP based content management platforms

·       Developing websites using WordPress

·       Be able to send samples of work or have online portfolio will be added advantage

Skills & Requirements:

·       Need to be able to work to a set brief, feedback appropriately and challenge guides for a better end product

·       Work to set timescales and timelines

·       Required languages/disciplines: PHP, jQuery, working knowledge of Linux CentOS & Ubuntu

·       Preferred languages/disciplines: JavaScript, HTML, CSS (bootstrap and custom), implementation and maintenance for MySQL (DBA)

·       Best practice with working with API’s

·       Familiar with WordPress based sites

·       Needs to be self-starter, reliable, motivated and a good problem solver with good communication skills

 

Working times:

·       Full-time employment within standard business hours Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week

·       Flexibility around working hours

 

Salary & Package:

·       Negotiable - depending on experience
