Job Description

Moving Walls Sdn Bhd is seeking exceptional leaders with an entrepreneurial spirit and a corporate foundation to join this dynamic company and help grow it to the next level – preeminent in the digital media firm support industry.  If a challenge delights you and work stimulates you, read on.

• As a key member of the management team, the Moving Walls CTO will be responsible for planning and defining the technology strategy and roadmap for each location as well as the centralized business.  This individual should have an eye for business development.

• This will include identifying technology platforms for use in our development, project managing the development plan, creating timelines for delivery, and building into the technology plan the necessary compliance, security and regulatory aspects of the business.

• In addition, the CTO will be actively involved in the early branding and corporate identity of the Company, including the look and feel of the applications, and so an ability to work with graphic designers is critical in the early stages.

 

Implementation & Delivery

• The CTO will be responsible and accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the Company’s technological suite, and the infrastructure that supports these products.  This individual will also be responsible for the on-going maintenance, development cycles and performance going forward.

This will include:

• Work with graphic/web designers to create and manage a stunning, seamless, intuitive and beautiful experience for the end user using mobile and web applications

• Hire and manage an exceptional team of developers and engineers to support the mission and set up and manage a development environment that fosters creativity and talent

• Position the Company from day one with a “data analytics” mindset, including building out a capability for complex data modeling, testing and maintenance, enabling us to gather and analyze data effectively to maximize our opportunities and the service we provide to our customers

• Design and implement a customer service and support process

• Manage in-house corporate systems infrastructure, including domain names, email, communications, etc.

• Select and manage outside vendor relationships for all technology the company outsources or utilizes

• Proven experience managing large-scale web and mobile application development initiatives

• Experience with startup / early stage companies

• Proven experience with web application frameworks, software architecture, design and development, Internet protocols, database management systems and web standards

• Proven experience designing and implementing complex data models

• Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management

• Familiarity with consumer privacy and compliance requirements

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Must possess a strong academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar major

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as CTO, CIO or similar senior position

• Deep knowledge of web and mobile application development is mandatory

• Results-oriented, with an ability and flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to distill and communicate complex information

• Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment

• Uncompromising with respect to quality in all regards

• Superb time and project management skills

• Team player, good listener and capable of building strong relationships
