The successful candidate will undergo a six-month hands-on training program during which he/she will be rotated across a variety of business functions designed to provide a broad-based exposure to various aspects of the entrepreneurial life cycle. These include, but are not limited to, business development, sales, marketing, community management, operations management, talent management, and more. The successful candidate will also be personally mentored by senior management for at least 1 month.
After the conclusion of the six-month training program, Management Associates will be expected to possess the necessary skills, experience and confidence to take on a leadership role which may include overseas postings.
Candidates are expected to be willing to step out of their comfort zones and be fully committed to a highly intensive training program and workload, as well as an extremely steep learning curve.
Candidates are not allowed to resign during the six-month program.
Who We Want:
- You are good with people, hungry/ambitious and eager to learn.
- You are very interested in entrepreneurship, have some basic understanding and keen interest in the startup landscape.
- You are action-oriented and willing to risk making mistakes. You are also willing to learn from your mistakes and talk openly about what you have learnt.
- You have some technical skills e.g. Excel/Photoshop/Chinese translation/basic business law/basic accounting/basic finance knowledge, etc
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (academic results do not matter). Or, in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, at least three years' working experience.
- At least one year of working experience in Singapore, including part-time or temporary work experience.
- Candidates must be currently located in Singapore. Overseas-based candidates need not apply. All candidates must be prepared to go through at least one (and possibly more than one) face-to-face interview. We do not interview candidates over the phone or on Skype.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Knowledge of an additional Asian language would be an advantage, particularly Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese or Bahasa Indonesia.
- Excellent knowledge of current lifestyle trends, both generally and on social media.
- Any previous entrepreneurial experience (including failures) or involvement with any early-stage start-ups will be seen as a massive advantage.
