Copywriter job at eOasia Singapore

eOasia is a Singapore startup, part of the MediaCorp incubator program. We are proposing online handpicked tourist activities. We have a catalogue of 2,000 activities mainly in South East Asia.

Our concept: connecting activity suppliers and travelers in a win/win perspective. eOasia aims at offering travelers a wide range of activities and services in various Asian areas, at the same price or even cheaper as buying offline. It enables travelers to access reliable information, compare offers, prices and comments without pressure of the local travel agents or “beater”.

MediaCorp, is a group of commercial media companies in Singapore, with business interests in television and radio broadcasting, interactive media, and, to a lesser extent, print publishing and filmmaking.

 

Currently, MediaCorp runs 7 television channels and 13 radio channels, making it the largest media broadcaster and provider in Singapore, and the only terrestrial TV broadcaster in the city-state. It is wholly owned by Temasek Holdings, a government-owned investment arm.

As part of its development, eOasia is looking for a Copywriter to join their Singapore team.

The company key objective is to increase website traffic. To do so, they are sharing content via a newsletter / blog / social media.

Copywriter is responsible for generating the words, slogans and audio scripts that accompany the above.

 

The typical creative process can involve:

•    Discussing core message and target audience

•    Brainstorming visual and copy ideas

•    Writing and presenting a options

•    Modifying copy based on feedback

•    Overseeing the production phase.

 

The copywriter is accountable for checking all the content being advertised is truthful and complies with codes of advertising practice.

Skills and personal qualities

•      Fluent in English

•      Be highly creative and imaginative, and curious about clients' products or services

•      Be skilled in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy

•      Understand the different language styles that appeal to various target markets

•      Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

•      Work well in a team and with a range of creative people

•      Be able to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively

•      Be highly self-motivated and well organised

•      Be able to see other people's points of view and take on board feedback

•      work within strict budgets

•      Have an eye for detail

 

Full time position – internship minimum 4 months.

Reporting to COO.

Location: Singapore.

No remuneration.
