About the job

We’re seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager with mobile messaging, technology and growth experience, hands on with international exposure in fast-moving environments.

The Technical Account Manager will help lead the company into its next stage of growth. His role is to ensure the successful execution of the company’s business mission through development and deployment of innovative telecom services, platforms and APIs and strong carrier relationships.

The candidate needs to demonstrate technical understanding and hands-on experience in supporting pre sales and post sales interacting with a high-performance product and engineering team.

Experience of working within a telecommunication company will give candidates a distinct advantage.

 

Main Responsibilities

•       Support Business Developers and Account Managers to sell Wavecell products and services

•       Define and discuss with sales management a pre-sales strategy and tactics to implement in the territory to meet agreed targets i.e. revenue growth, account management, market penetration, new accounts

•       Lead, drive and motivate the “virtual team”, ie product management, marketing, operations, delivery, support - to achieve goals

•       Identify, define and develop new business opportunities in collaboration with sales, marketing and business development people

•       Build excellent relations with clients

•       Ensure customer technical issues are resolved without delay

•       Maintain a thorough understanding of the market place and respond to competitive pressures and initiatives

•       Ownership of customer trials in sync with Operations

•       Ensure high level of customer and partner support and training

Desired skills and experience

•       2+ years technical experience in a telecommunications environment with technical knowledge in messaging, voice, video, chat

•       Must have experience in successfully working in a “virtual team”, being part of a dispersed team, providing leadership, drive, motivation to the team

•       Results driven – able to show track record of achievement

•       Must be able to demonstrate successful experience of supporting penetration of strategic accounts and developing a technical strategy for key account management in sectors relevant to the company’s products and in the telecommunications industry

•       Experience in working within a highly motivated team. Have excellent people management skills

•       Should be accustomed to the pace and environment of an international company

•       Must be able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English

•       Previous experience in a messaging, voice or video product-based organization is an advantage

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from a leading institute
