PT Jurnal Consulting Indonesia provides a cloud-based accounting software for small-medium sized business to simplify and expedites book- keeping and accounting process. Companies will no longer need dedicated IT resource and expertise to manage the logistic of accounting solutions such as backup and maintenance. Most repetitive book keeping activities will be handled automatically.
The executives have the combined experience of IT solution design, development, and implementation requiring high availability, reliability, and security in fortune 50 companies such as IBM and Microsoft. The experience proves valuable to support the growth of business.
You are responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database. You will also be involved in the planning and development of the database as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.
Performance:
- Identifies database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations;
- Considering both back-end organisation of data and front-end accessibility for end-users;
- Optimizing queries for business logic & reporting performance
- Refining the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model;
- Allow users to access data concurrently as their requirements;
- Capacity planning: defining database physical structure and functional capabilities;
- Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users;
- Evaluating existing systems for improvement and designing proposed systems.
- Installing new / existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
Integrity:
- Ensure data remains consistent across the database;
- Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly;
- Ensure data is clearly defined;
- Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);
- Maintaining international data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act;
- Installing and testing new versions of the DBMS;
Security and disaster recovery aspects:
- Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security;
- Controlling access permissions and privileges;
- Ensure there is provision for data security and recovery control (all data is retrievable in an emergency).
- Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans;
- Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security;
- Degree in Computer Science / Computer Systems Engineering
- Great problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Familiarity with the main data manipulation languages and the principles of database design;
- Good organisational skills
- Skill to work to tight deadlines under pressure;
- Business awareness and understanding of business requirements of IT;
- A willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology;
- An understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act
- Experience in programming
- Familiar with many database technologies and operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of structured query language (SQL), Unix and database management systems (DBMS).
