VC funded fashion startup. Shoppr is an app that lets you find and shop similar items you see on your favourite fashion trendsetters.

You'll be joining a development team of individuals with 10-20 years experience in development. Amongst what we've done before this is:
- Founded the Python user group in Malaysia.
- Built the largest corporate firewall in the world (1.5M copies sold to the U.S. Dept of Justice).
- Data scientist at CERN, Switzerland (Nuclear physics lab)
- World renowned designer with 6.6M views to his profile to date. The team is small and lean, if you want to learn quickly, grow exponentially and make a huge impact join us.

Currently we are expanding our team and are looking to hire 2 backend python developers.

At Shoppr, you will be responsible for strategizing and implementing an innovative backend solution to complement our existing mobile apps and webapp, be it enhancing our existing digital presence, developing our backend presence and even helping us break into new markets with localised backend solutions.

Senior Python Developer

• As the Senior Python developer, you will be the go to girl everyone looks up to when Python/Server/Backend systems come to mind.
• You will report directly to our CTO, the guy who founded the Python user group Malaysia & built the largest firewall in the world.
• You will be responsible for assisting the CTO in leading, overseeing, and educating the Python development team.
• Be at the forefront of the latest developments, practices and tools relating to Python.
• Work with project managers, designers and other platform leads to provide platform specific insights and solve challenging problems.

Junior Python Developer

• Write and maintain quality code that you can be proud of.
• Translate user requirements, feature specifications and stories into logical technical implementation.
• Work with mobile developers to define functional APIs.
• Make recommendations on implementation options and best practices.
• Work with Project Manager and fellow developers to properly distribute and complete project requirements on time.

Qualities needed to Excel

• Fluent in English.
• Initiative (Take proactive steps in solving/avoiding/highlighting potential problems or improvements).
• Good problem solver and self-learner (Ability to think logically and debug problems on your own before asking for help).
• Responsible (Work should be finished on time. Notify on any setbacks).
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Curious self-starter and eager to learn (Continuously cultivate skillsets and familiarity in new and upcoming technologies in your respective platform).
