Jewel Paymentech is looking for a highly motivated data scientist to join our team to build advanced analytics platforms to mitigate banking and payments risk. We are looking for individuals energised to see through projects from concept to implementation. - Build, test and deploy machine learning models to combat fraud and other payment risk issues.
- Collaborate with other developers and designers to build solutions for the financial industry.
- Develop advanced analytic tools and refining of existing models.

Other technical requirements
- Proficient in Python, R, Matlab, Sci-kit learn, MLlib
- Preferably a BSc in CS, Statistics or related fields
- Able to work with large data sets
- Knowledge in Natural Language analysis
- Knowledge, skills and abilities in HTML, PHP, Python, JavaScript and CSS.
- Foundation in C, Java, and development frameworks such as Google App Engine / Ruby
- Ability to manage databases (SQL, MariaDB, MangoDB)
