Responsibilities:
We are looing for a talented python developer experienced in working with complex data. You will be able to both analyze the business requirements and be hands on with converting the data into business solutions. You will be responsible for designing and developing data technologies for our enterprise class applications.
The position will be based in our Singapore office
- Participate and provide leadership in the system design and development activities focused on data management and analytics
- Produce and develop software in an agile environment, using modern techniques and processes (e.g., version control, bug tracking, etc.)
- Participate in daily agile development coordination meetings, and incorporate agile processes into development activities
- Work with data scientists in the business functions plus application developers to take data-centric algorithms and convert them into maintainable, scalable and high-performance solutions
- Analyze, develop, integrate, and then direct the operationalization of new data sources
- Work proactively to predict and minimize potential issues before they arise, and resolves those that do in a timely manner
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of ETL, data integration, and data warehousing
- Strong experience working with Python, HTML, CSS, Git, Django and Bash
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of Hadoop and Cassandra, and Spark are pluses
- Experience in working with large-scale data infrastructures and building high-performance solutions
- Amazon Web Services knowledge required
Minimum qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in the areas of business, distribution channels, and competitive landscape.
- Experience sourcing, managing and negotiating with partners.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Proven track record in creating and executing against a pipeline.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment.
- Technical degree required; MBA, Computer Science, and/or Engineering/Math background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / networking technologies highly desired.
