The purpose of this role is to interrogate, analyse and interpret data, providing performance and forecasting information, to the Business and Marketing teams as well as to other teams. The analyst will also:

Create reports to help the business monitor its performance

Analyse metrics and prepare high-level analysis to be used to guide decision making, better understand of user's shopping and selling behaviour, segment the users and improve conversion and retention

Conduct analysis to evaluate the success and the effectiveness of key programmes and marketing initiatives

Develop methodologies to better forecast initiatives and future plans

To work with the IT team to implement the methodologies identified.

Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and outcome of marketing initiatives

Share and exchange knowledge with IT, finance and other data teams to ensure processes are best practice and are fully integrated with the business.

Provide guidance to business stakeholders on what data to capture, how to map data needs to business questions, and how to prioritise analysis work.
Understanding of e-commerce
Strong analytical, statistical and mathematical skills.
Knowledge of big data technologies will be an advantage but not required.
