The ability to envision and then design the way in which people experience products, services and content is one of the most inspiring and fulfilling aspects of being a designer that seeks to change the world. At AND Digital, we work on products that are reimagining the way in which people experience government, business and the internet in general. We are seeking a user experience and design strategist to join our team and immediately start work on a series of client facing and external products. 

The right candidate will work side by side our senior team to deliver projects. You’ll tackle complex systems, and use your knowledge, experience and tools to develop intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use stories and prototypes that interface the web and physical world. You’ll be well versed in Design Thinking and User Centered Design and use these skills to lead workshops, develop user stories, design user interfaces and wireframes and deliver high quality work to clients who we respect and adore. You’ll also share the some of the same values as our team.

Required Skills And Experience

• Extensive experience in UX design, coupled with an impressive portfolio highlighting your user/interaction design processes and outcomes;
• Background in leading workshops & interviews and understanding customer behaviour across digital channels;
• Must be passionate about producing design artefacts: particularly customer journey maps, concept designs, customer scenarios;
• Axure, Invision (or any other prototyping tools);
• Strong core design skills (visual hierarchy, typography, layout, colour etc.);
• Possess a deep understanding of usability principles, web trends, interactive experiences and accessibility;
• Create wireframes to clearly communicate the interaction design for both testing and final build;
• Possess a clear communication style to work closely with developers to ensure the vision of the design is maintained throughout the build;
• A strong understanding of interface, usability and user experience design

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion design within the organisation 
• Interface with key stakeholders and end users to host a range of design led workshops, strategy sessions 
• Conduct research, chart user stories, conceptualize design output, create prototypes and effectively communicate these internal and external stakeholders 
• Develop high level documentation to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, web, visual communications, product, industrial) 
• 5+ years experience in key responsibility areas
