Micro Controller Firmware Lead job at RingMD Singapore

RingMD is a well-funded startup innovating the healthcare space.  Our product let patients find and communicate with their doctors online with ease - anytime, anywhere.

Join our team and make the world a better place. We aim to make healthcare more convenient and affordable to the masses. You’ll be an intricate part of the RingMD team, working on product that will have massive impact on millions of users.  Your voice will be heard and you’ll have a lot of autonomy over mission-critical decisions.

Culture is critically important here.  Not only do we need people who can work well in teams, we also would like to ensure that our values mesh.  We believe in collaboration across the entire company, taking responsibility to make things work, and delivering a product which delights our users

Assume we will use a controller with these features:

  • 32-bit ARM® Cortex™ M0 CPU with 256kB/128kB falsh + 32kB/16kB RAM

  • nRF51822 supports Bluetooth® Smart protocol stacks as well as 2.4GHz protocol stacks.  This nordic product has been around for a year or so and is stable, so we will start with this one.  The nRF52 was just released and would be a good choice for this new leading edge product.  Our choice in engineer would have the skills to migrate to the new system.  Our Preliminary Design will address both platforms.

  • The firmware will need to have profiles written for:
    • Diabetes control
    • Activity monitors
    • Weightscale
    • Blood pressure
    • Vital signs
    • These are all key points addressed in the Nordic development kit

  • Would also like to be able to provide IPv6 over Bluetooth® Smart connectivity to new accessories as they become available.

  • Background in Industrial enginnering is a requirement, especially in wearables.

  • Knowledge in nRF51822 and nRF52
