Front End Web Developer job at SAGA OS Malaysia

Working for a customer focused exciting, young company that is at the forefront of their industry, the ideal candidate will have suitable experience working within a pro-active environment and be able to take on ownership within the front end web-development side of the business. Working within a small dynamic office environment, this position has plenty of potential for the successful candidate to become an important part of a growing team and an integral part web development team. Any potential candidate must be fluent in English and have suitable experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•   Maintain and expand on current front-end developed systems

•   Developing and enhancing front-end modules

•   Expand and integrate key functionality between different platforms and systems

•   Troubleshoot and bug fixing of live environments

  Experience:

•   Ideally a Degree in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering

•   4+ years suitable experience

•   Ideally experience with online interactive websites and payment transaction site development

•   Experience working with web services SOAP API and RESTful API based content management

  platform with Javascript

•   Be able to send samples of work or have online portfolio 

Skills & Requirements:

•   Able to work to defined requirements and deliver solutions to specification whilst proactively suggesting better ways to complete given tasks

•   Able to deliver on time within a given schedule

•   Required languages/disciplines: JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, CSS and CSS3 (bootstrap and

  custom), PHP, MySQL

•   Javascript requirements: Object oriented Javascript, DOM manipulation using jQuery and

  Handlebars templates

•   Candidate should be familiar with Grunt task runner and templating engine Handlebars, and be

  comfortable using GIT

•   Experience with the following languages/technologies is a plus: NodeJS, mobile development,

  iOS, Android, Apps development, WordPress, SLIM API framework, AWS hosting

•   Good understanding of user experience and optimizing end user journeys

•   Team player, able at work well in team environments

•   Needs to be accountable, self-starter, reliable, motivated and a good problem solver plus have

  good communication skills

  Working times:

•   Full-time employment within standard business hours Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week

•   Flexibility around working hours

•   Additional on-call service outside of business hours for key site blockers – affecting player UX

  or client site revenue streams
