Community Manager job at ShopBack Malaysia

ShopBack is an eCommerce cashback platform that aims to help online shoppers across Southeast Asia shop smarter, faster and cheaper. Our platform reaches out to over 170,000 shoppers across the region, bringing them the best deals and promotions on 300+ merchants including Zalora, Lazada, Taobao and more!

Launched in 2014 and headed by grizzled, experienced eCommerce veterans, ShopBack has taken the regional eCommerce industry by storm. Our platform has received accolades for SiTF’s “Best Innovative Startup (Growth Stage 2015)”, Vulcanpost’s "Most Promising Start-up for 2015" and more! Quadrupling our growth in just a year, we are now operating in 4 countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines), with exciting plans to enter other markets in the region. As our Community Manager in Malaysia, you are essentially our connector and ambassador. You help connect our unique blend of executives in Malaysia together with welfare events and you connect us to the rest of the world with an engaging voice. You are our events director, awareness booster and customer service all wrapped into one. If you enjoy the idea of taking our vibrant and youthful culture to the next level of fun and then sharing this with the rest of the world, we are looking for you!

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work with press members and marketing team to increase awareness of ShopBack
  • Manage social media platforms and promote online engagement
  • Plan and liaise with external parties for outreach events
  • Organize events to ensure strong community spirit and increase team bonding
  • Maintain strong relations with our merchants and partners to grow our user base
  • Target weak spots in our campaigns with a targeted, analytical framework

 

Preferably:

  • 2-5 years of experience working with social media channels, outreach and engagement events
  • Well-connected and external-facing
  • Driven and empowered to make a change within the SEA eCommerce industry
